Ph.D. Candidate, Class of 2023, Mentor:  Dr. Lin MEI

I graduated from Nanchang University with a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in the field of nervous system functions and diseases. The neuregulin1 (NRG1) and its receptor ErbB4 are susceptibility genes for a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression. In the nervous system, the NRG1/ErbB4 signaling is a critical regulatory pathway, including neurogenesis, neuronal migration, synapse formation and plasticity. At present, I am working to explore the potential mechanism of NRG1/ErbB4 signaling in neurological functions and diseases from a new perspective other than E/I balance, and provide a basis for the treatment of neuropsychiatric diseases. The charm of neuroscience continues to strengthen my desire to explore brain functions. In the CIMR, the new system, the top tutors, the superior conditions and the comfortable atmosphere have provided us with an inexhaustible driving force for our scientific research path, and I hope to continue to share our results in the journey of interpreting the mysteries of the brain in the future.
