The Huang laboratory at CIMR is interested in identifying the fundamental physiological functions of heat shock protein 40s (HSP40s) in critical biological pathways including genome maintenance, innate immunity and glucose metabolism, and their implications in pathogenesis of human diseases, such as cancer, autoimmune disease and metabolic disorder.

Postdoctoral Associate
Main Responsibilities
a. Conducting research projects independently.
b. Assisting PI to mentor graduate students, write grant proposals and manuscripts.
Qualifications
a. Backgrounds in cancer biology, biochemistry (biochemistry and structural biology of proteins preferred), cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, or other related biomedical fields. Either about to obtain a Ph.D. or recently obtained a Ph.D. degree (ideally within the last 2 years).
b. Published or about to publish research papers as the first author in reputable journals in the field.
c. Strong research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology and/or mouse studies.
d. Self-motivated and independent researcher capable of independently conducting scientific research and assisting to supervise graduate students.
e. Proficient in English reading, writing, and daily communication. Capable of writing papers in English.
