Open positions for Research Assistants in Ren Lab
Date:2024-05-09

Laboratory Introduction

The Ren laboratory at CIMR is interested in how cell-to-cell interactions within the pancreatic islet balance Ca2+ activity and hormone secretion, as well as maintain blood glucose homeostasis. Through the integration of experimental, computational and theoretical methods, we aim to gain new insights for disease treatment.

1. Major Research Projects
2. Physiological Significance of Fast and Slow Ca2+Oscillation Patterns in Islets.
3. Mechanisms of glucose sensitivity regulation in diabetic mouse pancreatic islets (disappearance and recovery of Ca2+oscillation).
4. Exploration of Somatostatin and Glucagon Secretion Patterns Using Novel Probes.
