About the Lab
The Sun Laboratory of The Chinese Institutes for Medical Research (CIMR) focuses on the studies of molecular mechanisms of cancer immunity, autoimmunity and inflammatory diseases, especially the function and regulation of T cells. Fundamental understanding of the regulatory mechanisms of T cells is crucial for improving the treatment of cancer and immunological diseases. Our laboratory uses a variety of cutting-edge immunology and molecular biology techniques and mouse models to study the activation, effector function, and exhaustion of T cells as well as the impact of tumor microenvironment on T cell function. We have made a number of high-impact contributions to this research field, and our work also has a significant impact on the development of therapeutical approaches in disease treatment.
