Facility Introduction

Medical Mass Spectrometry Facility (MMSF) is dedicated to providing users with services based on mass spectrometry. MMSF is currently staffed by professional technicians and equipped with advanced high-resolution and high-sensitivity mass spectrometers. The services offered by MMSF include protein identification, quantitative proteomics, interactome analysis, phosphoproteome analysis, acetylome analysis, ubiquitinome analysis, oxidative modification analysis, metabolomics, lipidomics, and metabolic flux analysis. MMSF provides comprehensive services that span from sample preparation to data acquisition and data interpretation. Following a user-centric approach, MMSF actively collaborates with users to develop new mass spectrometry methods tailored to individualized requirements.

Open Position

Mass Spectrometry Technical Engineer

Major Responsibilities

1. Be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance and upkeep of mass spectrometry instruments to ensure their normal operation.

2. Conduct sample processing and analysis in strict accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.

3. Assist scientific researchers in experimental design and data analysis, and provide professional technical support.

4. Assist the facility director and technical team in optimizing existing experimental processes to improve experimental efficiency and data quality.

5. Participate in laboratory management work, including reagent and consumable procurement, inventory management and laboratory safety.

6. Complete other tasks assigned by leaders.

Qualifications

1. Master's degree or above, majoring in biology, medicine, chemistry or related fields.

2. Familiar with the principles and operations of mass spectrometry. Those with relevant work experience are preferred.

3. Possess solid experimental skills and be able to skillfully operate various laboratory instruments and equipment.

4. Have good communication skills and teamwork spirit, and be able to closely cooperate with scientific researchers.

5. Be conscientious and responsible at work, careful and rigorous, and have a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.

6. Possess a certain level of English reading and writing ability to read and understand relevant English literature and technical materials.
