Chinese Institutes for Medical Research (CIMR) is a brand-new research institution in Beijing, China. Its goal is to make ground-breaking discoveries in medical sciences and facilitate the translation of these discoveries into innovative products for patient care. Strategically located on the campus of Capital Medical University (CMU), it will leverage the exceptionally rich clinical resources available at the more than 20 CMU-affiliated hospitals. Despite its relatively young age, CIMR has ambitious goals and aims to become a premier medical research hub. CIMR’s distinct advantages include modern infrastructure, top-notch core facilities, a nimble and efficient management structure, and, most importantly, long-term, annual, stable funding support that enables its investigators to focus on groundbreaking discoveries.
The Institute for Molecular and Cellular Therapeutics within the CIMR is now seeking outstanding scientists at all ranks interested in developing novel therapeutics across all disease areas. Those engaged in all areas of medical research, including but not limited to those interested in treating major diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as those interested in rare diseases, are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates who have interests and experience in developing novel molecular and cellular technologies that may aid in therapeutics development. Successful candidates will have opportunities to collaborate with clinical colleagues at Capital Medical University-affiliated hospitals and have access to a broad range of patient samples for conducting basic and translational research.
