Lin Mei and Shao-Cong Sun from CIMR Named Among 2025 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers"

Recently, the international academic publishing giant Elsevier officially released the 2025 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list. Professors Lin Mei (in the field of Pharmacy) and Shao-Cong Sun (in the field of Biomedical Engineering) from Chinese Institutes for Medical Research (CIMR), Beijing have been successfully included in this prestigious list. Both Professors Lin Mei and Shao-Cong Sun also hold the position of Chair Professor at Capital Medical University, bringing the total number of highly cited scholars at the university to 21 in 2025.

The "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list is based on the global authoritative citation and indexing database Scopus, which serves as the statistical source for the research achievements of Chinese scholars. The methodology for the list was developed by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, with data support and technical implementation provided by Elsevier.

In 2025, a total of 6,310 researchers made it to the "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list, representing 543 universities, enterprises, and research institutions.
