About Institute for Immunology

The Institute for Immunology was established in 2024, with Professor Shao-Cong Sun, a distinguished immunologist, serving as the founding director. The institute currently has 8 Principal Investigators (PIs) and 8 independent laboratories. Leveraging the interdisciplinary platform of the CIMR and collaborating institutions, the institute is dedicated to fundamental and translational research in the forefront field of immunology. The research focuses on core scientific issues related to immune system regulation and disease intervention, with major research directions including: mechanisms of immune tolerance and immune regulation, discovery and drug screening of novel immunomodulatory molecules, pathogenesis and therapeutic strategies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, mechanisms of tumor immunity and immunotherapy, infection and immunity, and neuroimmunology. Through interdisciplinary collaborative innovation and domestic and international academic exchanges, the institute aims to promote groundbreaking advancements in immunological theories, develop transformative clinical therapeutic tools, and cultivate innovative talents with international competitiveness.

 

Open position: 

Postdoctoral Researcher

 

Research Areas: Immunology, Oncology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Bioinformatics

 

Main Responsibilities

a. Independently conduct and actively participate in laboratory research projects.

b. Assist the PI in supervising and guiding graduate student research activities.

 

Qualifications

a. Doctoral degree (or expected graduation) in Immunology, Biomedicine, or related fields (within 3 years of graduation), with solid theoretical foundation and experimental skills.

b. Possesses the capability to independently conduct scientific research and mentor graduate students, demonstrating both passion and rigorous methodology in scholarly endeavors.

c. Proficient in English communication and writing, with the ability to comprehend professional literature and independently produce academic papers.

d. Preferred candidates with research background in: mouse tumor immune model construction, autoimmune disease mechanism research, bioinformatics analysis and immunoregulatory molecular research.
