Laboratory Introduction
Guoliang Chai holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from UC Louvain, Belgium, and completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Currently, he serves as Assistant Investigator at Chinese Institutes for Medical Research, Beijing and Professor and Principal Investigator at Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University.
Laboratory Research Directions
Dr. Chai’s laboratory is dedicated to investigating the genetic factors and pathogenic mechanisms underlying rare and common neurological diseases, with the goal of developing innovative targeted therapeutic strategies. The projects of the lab includes:
a. Genetics and Pathogenic Mechanisms of rare/complex neurological disorders;
b. Central and Peripheral Immune Dysregulation in neurological diseases;
c. Novel Therapeutic Approaches for neurological disorders.

Molecular Biology Technician
The candidate should possess a solid academic background in molecular biology, neurobiology, laboratory animal science, or related disciplines, with proficient skills in animal-related laboratory techniques. Prior experience in animal husbandry and stereotaxic injection techniques will be considered advantageous.
Main Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
· Routine care and management of laboratory mice
· Genotyping and phenotypic characterization
· Performing stereotaxic injections to support in vivo research
This position plays a critical role in supporting the laboratory's animal-based scientific investigations.
Qualifications
a. Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in molecular biology, neurobiology, laboratory animal science, neurology, genetics, immunology, basic medicine, or related fields.
b. Technical Skills:
Prior experience with animal experiments.
Proficiency in mouse genotyping, phenotypic characterization, and stereotactic injection techniques.
c. Abilities:Strong learning capacity and hands-on skills, with the ability to quickly master new techniques.
d. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
