Laboratory Introduction
Dr. Fan is an Investigator at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Therapeutics, CIMR. He earned his B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and his Ph.D. from the University of Groningen. He conducted his postdoctoral and research scientist work at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Prior to joining CIMR, he served as a Senior Principal Investigator at the Bioinformatics Institute, A*STAR, Singapore.
The Fan Lab drives innovation in Molecular Therapeutics through a "Dual-Engine" approach:
· AI-Driven Discovery: Leveraging Predictive and Generative AI to accelerate the development of small-molecule drugs and functional proteins.
· Physics-Based Refinement: Utilizing high-precision computational chemistry and drug design (e.g., Free Energy Perturbation/FEP, Molecular Dynamics) to provide physical grounding and accurate validation.

Lab Manager
Main Responsibilities
a. Daily Operations Management: Assist the PI in the overall daily management of the laboratory, maintain a safe and orderly lab environment, and provide support to facilitate efficient research activities.
b. Finance and Procurement: Manage laboratory procurement orders, process financial reimbursements, handle reagent and consumable inventory, and coordinate routine maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.
c. Internal and External Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for the lab, effectively communicating with various departments (e.g., Human Resources, Finance, Lab and Asset Management) and external partners to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
Qualifications
a. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a closely related field.
b. Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English (spoken and written), with the ability to thrive in an international research environment.
c. Personal Attributes: Strong professional ethics, high sense of responsibility, and excellent teamwork spirit.
d. Preferred Qualifications: Strong learning ability and coordination skills. Prior experience in laboratory management or basic laboratory operational skills are highly desirable.
