Postdoctoral Fellows Positions in Rinkevich Lab
Date:2026-04-27

The Rinkevich Lab

The Rinkevich Laboratory at the Institute for Regenerative Biology and Medicine, Chinese Institutes for Medical Research, Beijing (CIMR-IRBM), sincerely invites outstanding scholars with a doctoral degree and a strong commitment to scientific research to join the team.

Professor Yuval Rinkevich is an internationally recognized regenerative biologist. He is currently a Distinguished Investigator at the Chinese Institutes for Medical Research, Beijing (CIMR), and a Chair Professor at Capital Medical University. In 2024, he became the founding director of the CIMR Institute for Regenerative Biology and Medicine (CIMR-IRBM).

Professor Rinkevich has worked in the field of tissue and organ repair and regeneration for more than 20 years. He previously conducted research at internationally recognized universities and research institutions, including the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Stanford University, and Helmholtz Munich.

His research focuses on the mechanisms of tissue repair, regeneration, scar formation, and fibrosis. His work has identified key cell lineages and stem cell populations that coordinate tissue repair and regeneration, revealed the important role of Engrailed-1-positive cells in the transition from scarless repair to fibrotic tissue responses, and elucidated the role of fascia and extracellular matrix in multiple organ systems, particularly in tissue scarring and fibrosis. These findings have reshaped the understanding of mechanisms underlying tissue repair and regeneration, provided new directions for clinical intervention and anti-fibrotic therapies, and may have broad implications for medical fields including dermatology, hepatology, and pulmonology.

Professor Rinkevich's research findings have been published in leading international journals including Nature and Science. He has received multiple major awards, including ERC funding, and has secured more than ten million euros in research funding.
