Core Introduction
The Medical Mass Spectrometry Core of the Chinese Institutes for Medical Research is dedicated to providing high-quality proteomic and metabolomic mass spectrometry analysis services for biomedical and clinical research, with a focus on quantitative proteomics, post-translational modification proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics. Equipped with advanced high-resolution and high-sensitivity mass spectrometry instruments, the core offers end-to-end services covering sample pretreatment, instrumental analysis, and data interpretation. It also actively collaborates with researchers to develop novel mass spectrometry detection methods tailored to individual research needs.
To support our expanding operations, we are seeking a qualified Mass Spectrometry Technical Engineer to join our team.
Open Positions: Mass Spectrometry Technical Engineer
a. Perform daily operation, maintenance, and routine care of proteomic and metabolomic mass spectrometry instruments to ensure stable and reliable performance.
b. Conduct sample processing and analysis in strict accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring accurate and reproducible data generation.
c. Assist researchers with experimental design and data analysis, providing professional technical support and guidance.
d. Collaborate with the core director and technical team to optimize existing experimental workflows, improving operational efficiency and data quality.
e. Participate in core management tasks, including reagent and consumable procurement, inventory control, and laboratory safety compliance.
f. Complete other tasks assigned by the core director.
Qualifications
a. Master’s degree or above in Biology, Medicine, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
b. Familiar with the principles and operation of proteomic and metabolomic mass spectrometry; prior hands-on experience is highly preferred.
c. Proficient in fundamental laboratory techniques and skilled in operating common laboratory equipment.
d. Excellent communication skills and teamwork spirit, with the ability to collaborate closely with research teams.
e. Meticulous, responsible, detail-oriented, and committed to professional ethics.
f. Competent in English reading, writing, and basic communication, with the ability to comprehend English literature and technical documents.
