Laboratory Introduction
The laboratory of Shao-Cong Sun at the Chinese Institutes for Medical Research (CIMR) is recruiting motivated Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Assistant Investigators to conduct basic and translational research in Immunology. Our research focuses on mechanistic studies of the role of T cells and innate immune cells in the regulation of in anti-tumor immunity, autoimmunity and inflammation. Professor Sun's team has made many significant contributions to this field, publishing over 200 papers, with many in top journals like Science, Nature, Nature Medicine, Nature Immunology, and Immunity. He has an outstanding mentoring record with about one half of his postdoctoral trainees becoming faculty of academic institutions around the world.
Open Positions: Postdoc and Research Assistant/Associate Investigator
Main Responsibilities
a. Carrying out research projects independently.
b. Assisting PI to mentor graduate student.
Qualifications
a. A strong background in immunology or a related discipline. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or be in the final stages of completing their doctoral degree.Applicants for Research Assistant Investigator position must have postdoctoral training.
b. With motivation and abilityto independently carry out research projects and supervise graduate students, and have strong motivation in scientific research.
c. Proficient in English reading, writing, and daily communication; capable of writing papers in English.
d. Preference will be given to candidates with solidexperience in immunology research, especially studies on mouse models of anticancer immunity, autoimmunity and inflammation.
