Open Positions for Research Assistant Investigators in Sun Lab
Date:2026-09-01

Laboratory Introduction

The laboratory of Shao-Cong Sun at the Chinese Institutes for Medical Research (CIMR) is recruiting motivated Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Assistant Investigators to conduct basic and translational research in Immunology. Our research focuses on the NF-κB signaling pathway and inflammatory responses, the roles and regulatory mechanisms of innate immune cells (dendritic cells, neutrophils, and microglia) in autoimmune and inflammatory responses, and the functions and regulation of T cells in anti-tumor immunity and inflammatory diseases. Professor Sun's team has made many significant contributions in this field, publishing over 200 papers, with many in top journals like Science, Nature, Nature Medicine, Nature Immunology, and Immunity.

Our lab is currently recruiting postdoctoral fellows or research assistant investigators to carry out studies on the immune mechanisms in stroke. This project will utilize cutting-edge techniques such as single-cell multi-omics, flow cytometry, in vivo CRISPR library screening, mouse gene knockout and disease models. We aim to identify regulators of immune cell migration and pathological functions, systematically analyze the interaction mechanisms between immune cells, the central nervous system, and vascular endothelial cells, study the dynamic changes in innate immune cells and T cells after ischemia-reperfusion, and explore immune imbalances and their impact on neural repair. The goal is to provide a theoretical basis and new targets for immune intervention strategies in ischemic stroke.
