Laboratory Introduction
The Laboratory of Shao-Cong Sun is dedicated to studying the molecular mechanisms of tumor immunity, focusing on the functions and regulation of T cells. We utilize cutting-edge techniques in immunology and molecular biology, along with mouse models, to investigate T cell activation, effector functions, exhaustion, and the impact of the tumor microenvironment on T cell functionality. Professor Sun has already made major contributions in this field and has established himself as an internationally recognized leader. Our work also has great translational potential, providing important guidance for drug development and disease treatment.
Laboratory Research Directions
a. Using cutting-edge techniques to study the molecular mechanisms of T cell activation, differentiation, effector functions, tolerance, and exhaustion.
b. Investigating the mechanisms by which T cells and accessory cells regulate tumor immunity, autoimmune diseases, and inflammatory diseases.
c. Developing new targets to enhance T cell-based cancer immunotherapy.
