Li Yin congratulated the awardees and expressed gratitude to all overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao who have supported the development of the capital. He emphasized that President Jinping Xi places great importance on overseas Chinese affairs and has high expectations for the contributions of the diaspora. The president stressed the need to unite and engage with overseas Chinese and returned overseas Chinese in the shared endeavor of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Over the years, overseas Chinese and compatriots have made significant contributions to economic and social development, international cooperation, and the reunification of the country, demonstrating their deep-rooted sense of kinship and national responsibility.

Li Yin pointed out that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a grand commemorative event in Beijing, which powerfully demonstrated national and military prestige, greatly ignited the patriotic enthusiasm of all Chinese people, and widely consolidated the strength for unity and progress. He hopes that overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao will keep pace with the times, embrace the aspiration to strengthen the country, and put into practice actions that serve the nation, contributing wisdom and effort to the modernization of the country and the capital. Upholding the greater good of the nation, they should hold high the banner of patriotism, strengthen the sense of community for the Chinese nation, and make more contributions to advancing the cause of "One Country, Two Systems" and promoting the reunification of the motherland. They are encouraged to support development by actively participating in the construction of Beijing as an international center for scientific and technological innovation, a global benchmark city for the digital economy, and a hub for high-level talents, thereby adding stronger impetus to the high-quality development and high-level opening-up of the capital. With firm cultural confidence, they should promote the excellent traditional culture of China, tell the stories of China and Beijing well, and play a bigger role in facilitating exchanges and mutual learning between China and other countries, as well as in promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. The Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC and the municipal government will, as always, attach great importance to work related to overseas Chinese and to Hong Kong and Macao, creating a favorable environment for investment and business in Beijing. Jun You read out the commendation decision.
