Introduction
The Biological Resources Core is a key component of CIMR's Technology Support Core, designed to provide a standardized, full-chain, research-oriented sharing and service system for biological resources. It integrates six repositories—Public Cell Bank, Shared Plasmid Bank, Gene Library, Public Antibody Bank, Strain Bank, and Transgenic Mouse Resource Bank—covering molecular tools, cell lines, genetically engineered strains, antibodies, and genetically modified animal models. Supported by professional management systems and multimodal storage, the Core ensures efficient resource management and sharing. Leveraging the Daxing animal facility, it also offers comprehensive laboratory animal services, including breeding and husbandry, biocleansing and microbiological control, customized experimental design, and technical support for animal studies, all in compliance with the 3R principles. Additionally, the Core provides consulting on gene editing and humanized antibody development, agency services for sourcing domestic and international resources, custom library construction, and sample storage, thus forming a complete resource loop from gene to animal model. This facilitates innovative breakthroughs in functional genomics and translational medicine at CIMR.
